Pool Rules
The community pool is for the recreation and enjoyment of eligible homeowners. Violation of any of the rules below may be subject to fines and result in pool privileges being removed for the remainder of the season! Pool Hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
All homeowners accounts must be current to gain access to the pool. Pool cards will be deactivated if HOA dues are in default or violations are listed on the account.
POOL CARD: Each home is issued ONE pool card. If you lost your pool card, there is a fee for a replacement card. Please "Submit a New Request" to request for a replacement card. and pay the card replacement fee. The "Submit A New Request" button can be found in the "Dashboard" menu on the Property Management Portal.
RENTER: If you are a renter or live in a leased home, your homeowner MUST be current on all dues for you to gain access to the amenities. Please reach out to your homeowner for access to the pool. Your homeowner is responsible for both contacting the community manager and giving you access to the pool.
CLOSING THE POOL: The community will be updated if we have to close the pool for any reason.
SHOWERING BEFORE POOL USE: You must shower and wash at your house just before coming to the pool.
SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK: The community has no official lifeguard or security guard on duty, and the Indian Shoals Landing HOA deems this time as SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK and is not responsible or liable for swimmers or personal belongings brought or left at the pool. Please make sure that your swimmers are skilled enough to be in the pool, and that valuables are left at home. Taking personal responsibility for your family’s pool experience is an absolute necessity and requirement. The HOA will not be responsible for use of the pool or socializing in the pool area during the COVID-19 pandemic.
AGES AND STAGES: Children 15 years and under MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by an adult 21 years of age or older. Teens 16 and over must control themselves and remain orderly to retain pool access.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: During the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing guidelines shall apply to close contact with people outside of your home, even at the pool. Always maintain a distance of at least 6 feet apart from one another. Remember, anyone can be an asymptomatic carrier of COVID-19.
OVERCROWDING: No more than 50 people allowed in the pool at any one time in order to prevent overcrowding.
TRASH: Please ensure all family and guests pick up after themselves.
HORSEPLAY: Jumping, fighting, flip flopping, water fights and generally risky behaviors in the pool and pool area are strictly prohibited. No running, pushing, diving, or property destruction will be tolerated, and if necessary, the police will be called and the entire household’s access will be suspended. Because smaller children can easily be hurt by the carelessness of others, please monitor each other for everyone’s safety.
BODILY FLUID AND/OR EXCREMENT IN THE POOL: If you notice any bodily fluid or excrement in the pool, immediately get out and notify management.
MUSIC: PLEASE enjoy music that only you can hear. Loud, inappropriate music that disturbs others is specifically prohibited. Boom Boxes, electronic gadgets, etc. should be left at home. Loud music is a personal choice that is inappropriate for the common pool area and the HOA is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property. It is best to leave all electronics and other valuables at home.
HEALTHY POOL USERS : Because of the risk of disease, please keep those with fevers, colds, nose or throat infections, or other communicable diseases away from the pool. Do not enter the pool area if you or anyone in your family has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, have symptoms of COVID-19, or had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
PEOPLE WITH HIGH RISK CONDITIONS: Each community member and guest is responsible for his/her own health. People with high risk conditions should not use the pool or any other community amenities for their own protection.
GUESTS: Two (2) guests per household per visit are allowed. All guests must be accompanied by an Indian Shoals Landing Homeowner.
WHAT NOT TO WEAR: The pool area is a family space. Appropriate, modest attire is requested and required. Thongs, mini-shorts, nudity, etc. are strictly prohibited. Pre-potty trained babies must wear swim diapers, and disposable or cloth diapers are prohibited in the pool. Please cover the little ones for their safety and the comfort and sanitation of others.
BEVERAGE AND PICNIC CONTROLS: Smoking, alcoholic beverages, grills, cook stoves, etc. are not allowed except during HOA sponsored events that are properly supervised.
GLASS IN POOL AREA: No glass containers of any type in pool area.
PETS AND FURNITURE: Pets of all persuasions are strictly prohibited and please do not bring your personal furnishings to the area. Do not remove existing pool furniture and trash containers or toss either in the water. No standing on the furniture. Please put all furniture back in their spots, close the umbrellas and take home all of your belongings.
SWIM LESSONS: No swim lessons permitted.
NO DRUG USE: This includes no use of the following, tobacco, vaping, E-cigarettes, cannabis, marijuana (weed), hookah, cigarettes. cigars, substances.
NO LOUD MUSIC: No Music with Profanity or Obscene Language. No Inappropriate Music.
NO PROFANITY OR OBSCENE LANGUAGE USE: The pool are is a family space. Language without profanity should be used
The HOA has determined to open these amenities as a convenience to the owners/residents and their guest but makes no representations or warranties as to their safety, anytime, during the pandemic or that they will remain open.
Any party using the community pool within the Indian Shoals Landing community indemnify the Indian Shoals Landing HOA (including its board of directors, officers and other representatives) against any claims that may be asserted by their use of the community pool (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs)
